Mrs Tan HS
Existing JC GP Lecturer – Adjunct GP Tutor
Mrs. Tan is our tuition agent’s General Paper tutor and is presently an adjunct GP tutor in a local junior college (JC) in S’pore. She has a 2nd Class Honours (Upper) degree in English from NUS and is an extremely passionate teacher and mentor.
A very experienced GP teacher, she has been with our tuition agent since the last 2 years and has exhibited sound teaching GP exam strategies and motivating skills.
Mrs Tan’s forte lies in the tackling of the GP Comprehension exam (Paper 2). While many A-Level students find the summary and application questions tough, Mrs Tan helped our students breeze through this paper and aided to perform in their exams.
In particular, her strengths is her natural ability to link any current event to General Paper and its associated issues and themes, be it the Boston Marathon Bombing, the Malaysian Elections, etc.
Previously from Temasek Junior College (TJC), she is the pioneer of the team that developed the subject of Knowledge and Inquiry (KI). Further later at Hwa Chong Institution (HCI), she deeply developed the skills and techniques required to help students to secure their GP distinctions.
Beyond the grade A each desires and deserves, Mrs Tan derives the most satisfaction when she witnesses her students to want to change things, to make the world a better place; to be able to stand up, speak up and st and out; and finally to able to help those who cannot be helped.
Mrs Tan is also in the process of writing her General Paper guide book for JC students.
Mrs Natalie Lau
Full Time General Paper Tutor
Mrs Lau is a full time GP tutor at our tuition agency and is arguably one of the most energetic tutors in Singapore. She holds a Second Class Upper Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature, a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Merit in English Literature and Political Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education [PGDE – Secondary & Junior College(JC)] with Merit from NIE.
Mrs Lau was a full time private tutor for General Paper, and joins our A-Level tuition agency in the middle of 2010, and now only conducts small group GP tuition lessons.
Ms. Liza Chan
Liza Chan’s extensive experiences covered a variety of roles in Legal and Compliance in Apparel, Banking and Oil & Gas Industries in Singapore/Middle East/India! Asia Pacific Region. Currently, she is pursuing a Post-Graduate Degree in Law (UK). Notwithstanding the above, Liza is currently an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the SMF Institute of Higher Learning for Banking, Finance and Law modules.
Her previous teaching stints included lecturing:

Mr Boey K, Full Time Professional GP Tuition Teacher Majoring in History and English, Mr Boey’s love to teach and to read helped him to decide into full time GP tutoring. With his spouse in a local JC as a General Paper as well, he makes it his life’s mission to help Singapore JC students to do well in their pre-tertiary education and more importantly to be keenly aware of the global world and a sense of social responsibility to those they shared their society with. While he hopes that his teaching that it would inspire greatness, he wishes to also instill in learners to will to contribute to society. For instance, when reading about the key news, such as, Nike’s Sub 2 Hour Marathon effort, Milo drink’s bad reputation, or the possible North and South Korea reunification, i find myself drawing the links to A-Level GP subject and its associated issues and themes. Having read an array of courses in university, his approach to General Paper is as multi-faceted from the subject itself, the training and insights developed over the years.
Ms. S. Devi
Ex-JC GP Tutor – Full Time GP Tuition Teacher
Ms. S. Devi is an A-Level GP tutor at our tuition agency in Singapore. She has a She holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Language Studies, a Second Class Upper Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Philosophy, a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Merit in Philosophy and Political Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Ms. Devi worked as a business analyst at highly regarded companies such as DHL only to realise that she derives more satisfaction from teaching and mentoring students. Thereafter she joined MOE, underwent NIE training, and was a staff with Outram Institute.
She left the teaching service when Outram Institute was closed down, and she began as a full time General Paper tutor. Ms. Devi joined us as a full time since late 2009, and has now been teaching students at our tuition agency since.
Mr Hong KT I am always a fan of reading, since young. In fact, I read about 5 books in a week. So English language has always been my forte. When it comes to English comprehension, I am able to grasp the point(s) the author is driving at. Now, it is my mission to make English comprehension tests and exams a breeze for all my students. It’s fun and challenging at the same time.
